Martin Walsh is a ‘nice guy’ that pokes fun at situations all can appreciate and relate to. His handcrafted, observational humor sets him apart from the rest. Martin’s comedy is heavily influenced by Rock N Roll, sports and his menagerie of pets. Martin’s comedy has been described as ‘sneaky’, ‘beer through the nose laughter’.
Originally from Houston, Texas, as a kid Martin entertained friends and family with jokes and voices. “I could see the ability to make someone laugh was a gift, and I loved to use it!” Not until after years of construction work, retail sporting goods and more construction... did he find his way to the comedy stage.
Starting in 1990, Martin Walsh worked as a standup comic doing comedy clubs and corporate events all over the nation. Well-received as a comic, he was fast to develop a quick, clean sense of humor. In 1998, Martin brought a new twist to the world of hypnosis by incorporating his hilarious comedy show and quick wit with hypnosis.
Martin Walsh has traveled all over the country putting HUNDREDS of volunteers to sleep and then waking up their imagination. Touring as “Martin Walsh and the Rock N Roll Hypno Show”, Martin shows his audience and participants the power of the human mind while providing “beer through the nose” laughter. It is a show for everyone!
Martin is known for his ability to work with any type of audience and is a favorite at comedy clubs, corporate events, project graduations, and fairs, being asked back, time and time again.
Martin has appeared with stars such as Caroline Rhea, Pauly Shore, David Brenner, and Bruce Baum. He has appeared on “Jerry Lewis’s MDA Telethon”, and “The Debra Duncan Show”. His film credits include “Sleep Eaters” a Toronto Film Festival feature, and “Acting Class”.
